A Girl Can Never Have Too Many Shoes

This season, it's all about eye-catching, embellishments to adorn your footwear. From boots to booties, and pumps to flats, finding the right shoe shouldn't be hard with all the different styles
that are available.

A popular style of boots this season is the leather riding boot. Walking down the street, I see many women wearing this style of boot, in either black or brown. The boot's long contoure makes legs seem longer and leaner. They also hold up well against rain. This is definitely my top pick for this season.

The bootie is a style that can be worn with jeans, a skirt, shorts, or a dress. These cute little boots put an edge on any outfit. Some slouch, some are studded, and some have laces; but all of them are extremely fashion forward.

This twist on a classic style mixes elegant with extravagent. It's a simple pump, with a rhinestone broach. This shoe can make the most simple black dress pop.

Deals & Stels

With the holiday season soon coming to an end, I'm sure everyone's pockets are becoming a little bit tight. Even with in-store sales and promotions, buying gifts for your loved ones can put a strain on your bank account. Here are a few great deals I found online.

I found a great website that has fabulous shoes at extremely reduced prices.
Endless.com has women's men's and kids' shoes and accessories. This website is going to be my savior this winter. The site sells designer shoes for less, plus free shipping. It doesn't get much better than that. Here is a pair that a friend of mine got fromfrom Endless:

Now the over-the-knee boot is THEE boot for this season. These grey ones are from Michael Antonio, and are only $69.95 plus free overnight shipping. And if you are not satisfied with them for some reason, the website also offers free returns. Endless.com is definitely a winner for me.

Another website that I love is MetroStyle.com. MetroStyle is a stylish and affordable brand that sells women's clothing. The clothes include suits, dresses, jeans, and shoes. Models for this site include america's Next Top Model winners, Dani Evans and Jasleen Gonzales. Here is a look at the deals from MetroStyle:

Dani is wearing a printed tunic that is great for the holiday season. The top is only $19.99. Pair it up with a $25.00 pair of MetroStyle jeans, and you've got yourself a great holiday steal.

The Crossover for Ladies

The year 2009 has introduced a wave of men-inspired styles for women. This includes the boyfriend pants/jeans, blazer, and even shirt. Each are made to have a loose fit that is reminiscent of men's clothing, and have come to be a popular fashion trend.

The boyfriend jean is a comfy twist on our beloved skinny jean. It fits nicely on the waist and butt, and then gets looser down the leg. Most come cuffed at the bottom, with the choice of rolling them up or down.

The boyfriend blazer can be dressed up or down. It comes in a variety of colors, and designs. I've seen some with embellishments such as rhinestones and studs. They also come in three-quarter and long sleeve. Paired up with skinny jeans, leggings, or even a mini-skirt, your sure to turn heads wearing this jacket that gives off a statuesque silhouette.

Lastly, the boyfriend shirt is a piece that is very easy to wear. You don't even have to go out and buy one, just grab a button-down shirt out of your boyfriend's (or brother's) closet. This trendy shirt can be worn loosely, or to look more fitted with a belt.

A Style for Both Sexes

From the return of the military jacket for, comes the expansion of the military-style shirt. I'm personally a big fan of this style for both men and women.
Military shirts can make any guy look good. The shirt can be d
ressed up with a tie and pants, or dressed down with a pair of jeans and the sleeves rolled up. They usually come in an array of colors, and are meant to be fitted to a man's body. The signature style of this shirt is the buttons in the middle of the sleeves, which gives the guy the option to wear them rolled up and rolled down. Some also have lapels on the shoulder and/or pockets. Here's two men's military shirts in two different ways of wearing them.

For women, the style of the military shirt is relatvely the sam
e as the men's. It has the same sleeve options, and is also made to wear fitted to the woman's contour. Here is a sample shirt for women.

The Perfect Holiday Dress

With the holidays right around the corner, everyone is looking for the perfect holiday dress. This season, it's all about glitz and glam. Sequins, vibrant colors, and form fitting silhouettes are all in this year. Here are three of my favorite styles:

1) My first pick is from one of my favorite stores, EXPRESS. It's a green, satin tube dress that's perfect for a fancy or more laid back holiday party. It also comes in black, fuchsia, red, and purple.

2) My second, and also a favorite of mine is the Spotlight Cryatal tube dress by Bebe. It's a bit on the clubby side, but nonetheless, fabulous and sure to turn heads at the party.

3) My last pick is a modern twist on the little black dress. It comes from Guess and has a sexy halter back, and is adorned in rhinestones.

The Return of Shoulder Pads

A popular fad that was made famous in the 1980s was the shoulder pad on women's clothing. This was a time when fashion for women in the workplace began to really make statements, and that is exactly what shoulder pads did. Giving the illusion of broader shoulders on women, these once called "mannish" looks became very catchy. An example of the 80s shoulder pad is featured below.Recently, I have been to many stores and seen shoulder pads in blouses and blazers. This surprised me because I was never a big fan of the look. However, the modern form of two-decade old trend is much more aesthetically pleasing. Here are three hot new looks using shoulder pads:

What to do on a Warm Winter Day?

With weather in New York, you never know what to really expect. The high in New York hit a lovely 71 degrees. The low this past Friday night was about 29 degrees. With such a wide range in temperature during these pre-winter months, your wardrobe can be ever changing. Here are some tips to make things a little easier on you.

1) The Fly-Away Cardigan
This new trend can also serve as a smart investment. It comes in a variety of materials, from light cotton to a thick sweater. So slip this on over a tank top or t-shirt when there's a chill in the air at the start of your day, and simply remove it as the day goes by and it warms up.

2) Scarves
The scarf has always been used to keep our necks warm during the winter. However, recently scarves have been worn year-round. They also come in many materials, ranging from cotton to wool, so they can keep you warm while still being in style.

3) The Ballet Flat

This stylish little shoe can be worn with virtually anything. Skinny jeans, skirts, and slacks can all be paired with ballet flats. If you're worried about your feet getting cold, just put on a pair of nude stockings and they'll be warmed up while still looking like they're bare.
